DJ’s Ashley and Shari will be outside in the Marquee and you will find the fabulous Hoochie Mommie hosting the door.

The New Foresters has a rich history:

Formerly The Foresters Arms, The New Foresters located on St Ann’s Street (Behind The Victoria Centre) has a long history within Nottingham’s LGBT community. The pub originally opened in 1891 and was a lot smaller than it is today. The pub underwent an extension sometime during the 70’s, when the dance-floor used today was added.

Since 1938 The New Foresters has been well known in Nottingham as an LGBT safe space. In the early days, it has been said that there was a private room around the back of the pub where LGBT people would meet. This was when homosexuality was illegal in the UK, and could be punishable with prison. Over the years the pub has seen different crowds from the community. It has gone from being mainly lesbian clientele to mainly gay male clientele, and eventually being a mixture of all people within our community. The most recent custodians were June and Ron during the 90’s, Debbie Law took over in 2001 and became the longest serving landlady, until the current landlord Brent Foster took over in 2022. Brent plans on keeping the pub a safe space for all customers and doing his upmost to keep the pub alive, and a place where people can be themselves and meet old and new friends.

The New Foresters holds a special place in many peoples hearts.
